Rain X?
DON'T DO IT!!! It did something to the finish on my bud's shield, now he's looking through fog!!! (Actually he ended up buyind a new one)....
My brother has been putting it on his shield since 2005 he has been putting it on his wifes shield since 2005 and I have been using it in mine for 3 years. Shields still look new with no hazing etc.
I have had good luck with a product called F4 windshild cleaner. Now you talk about something that works. It is great. A lot better then rainx for sure. Normally the rain beads up and does not roll off. With this stuff it doesn't even bead up. It just runs off the best stuff that I have ever used. If you would like to know more then let me know and I will get a link to it..
The windshield on your bike is a thinner version of an airplane windshield. You SHOULD NOT use RainX on plastic! This link will take you to a good product and it's only $7.95 a can

Another trick a very good airplane mechanic told me about years ago are Lemon Pledge Wipes. You can get them at Wallmart They come in re-seal able package, lay flat in saddle bags and you dont need a separate cloth to wipe with. PS. DO NOT EVER USE PAPER TOWELS TO CLEAN WINDSCREEN!! Hope this helps.

My friend put Rainx on his Ultra's wind sheald, It looked great. The next day road the bike to work on a very hot and sunny day. When he went back to the bike the sheald was hazy, and where he wiped Rainx on was like the plastic was eched. We tried to clear it by ploishing, no help. Went with him to buy new one.
