I think it is just one the over looked pieces. I've put it on all of my bikes and like the look. Have the 2 piece Kuryakyn on my Deuce and the newer 1 piece HD one on my Ultra. I think its worth the money for the nice look. And far less than the complete change over of the inner piece to get the chrome.
I was thinking about adding the chrome primary cover (inner) to my bike, but I noticed that not many people have done it.
I think it would look really nice with the extra chrome.
Is there a reason why many people have not added it?
I really don't see it on that many bikes.
Thanks!
I just installed a chrome inner on my 07. It is an involved job, not extremely hard, but more than someone who has little or no bike mechanic ability or the proper tools would be willing to tackle probably. Its also more expensive than putting the Kuryakyn chrome cover on. At the same time I did mine, I put in the SE compensator, the latest version of the automatic chain tensioner and a heavier clutch spring.
I also don't see too many on bikes. Its one of those things that has not caught on in popularity for some reason. It's too bad because it really dressed the left side of my bike up, to equal the right side, in my opinion. I am not a fan of chrome covers over the top of parts, on my bike. I prefer the actual part to be chrome, if possible and affordable for me.
i did mine, because i had a oil leak on the lipseal ,before i have a Kuryakyn inner cover. replacement is not to hard to do i.m not a mechanic
