I just bought a new 2011 ultra limited last week and left passenger floorboard vibrates excessively. My girlfriend has to hang her foot off the side for relief. The right side is fine. Usually I would tell her she is nuts, but I got on the back and was surprised at the amount of vibration only on the left side. My girlfriend noticed it the very first time she got on it. My 2009 ultra which I traded never vibrated enough to notice. I know this is an odd and seemingly trivial problem but she is miserable after a short ride and we do a lot of riding. Any ideas to remedy would be greatly appreciated.
Are the bracket bolts tight?
Are both pins installed correctly. The pins that attach the floorboard to the bracket. Lift up the rubber floorboard towards the pin side to check. Hope this helps.
The new frames have different engine mounts, one on each side in the back, and may well be providing a vibration that older bikes did not have. However, you could get the "normal" response because it very well may be. My wife doesn't complain about it,but she tends to not notice things like that.
