yes I did have unisured and also under insured. On top of that I had addition equipment insurance. I had over $10,000 in reciepts not to mention my labor. The insuracne only covered 50% of my reciepts. They went thru them and they said they would only use the reciepts that added value to the bike and in there opinion. They drilled them down to $8400 and divided that by 2. They said that is what a Harley dealer would do if you traded it in. Summer is short up here and I need the money to buy another bike so I took the offer to get me back on the road. The drunk has been charged with reckless endangerment, drunk driving, leaving the scean. Like most of you said it could have been alot worse. My Mrs. was not with. If she would have been there I know for sure that she would have been digging in the saddle bag for something. At 100lbs I don't think she would have should much of a chance.
