ABS Bearing question
Background: Scored a rear Agitator rim & tire on ebay that came off of an ABS bike. My bike is not ABS equipped.
Research (mostly here by the way) indicates that:
- the right bearing is the ABS bearing identified by a tan and or green color
- it is wider than a standard bearing of 25 mm (not sure about this)
- it must be removed and replaced with a standard 25mm bearing
- the wheel installation kit (PN 41456-08C) is approx. $70.00 and comes with 3 different inner spacer sleeves.
- buying the kit is a waste of money since you get several parts you don't need (several peoples opinion)
- Do I / Can i get away with, only replacing the ABS bearing with the standard bearing?
- Can anyone tell me if the current inner spacer on the ABS equiped Agitator rim is the same as the inner spacer as my current non ABS equipped rim? To clarify, is it the bearing that is wider or is the inner spacer longer?
- Does anyone have the instructions to the Wheel installation kit that can post it here?
The rim isn't here yet so I wanted to know what could or couldn't be done before it arrives. I'm not cheap, I'm frugal and I don't think theres a market for 240mm inner bearing sleeves out there for me to sell the extra parts to.

The 9276 is obsolete and has since been superseded to 9276A because of the bearing issues the 09's have been having. The 413497-07 is the same sleeve spacer that comes stock on your 10 FLHX. According to the rear agitator wheel instruction sheet shown HERE it shows that the ABS installation kit used a 41900-08 sleeve spacer so I would reckon that you will have to use your stock sleeve spacer with the new wheel bearings. You can see the parts that you will need off the instruction sheet so that you could buy them separately without buying the whole kit.
