Buy one of both, then you tell us your review.
FWIW, I do not care for "melted in the sun" look.
I think it takes away from the aesthetics of the traditional shape/flow.
I had a 6.5 KW that I tried for a couple hundred miles but the wind still hit me dead square in the forehead.
I bought a 9 inch "classic" from LRS and have another one in reserve.
I bought a 8.5 KW but it never came out of the box and I sold it on this site.
I went ahead and ordered the LRS 9". Went from the stock shield to the lrs flip which was an improvement over the stock, but didnt quite do it. Rode a buddies 11 sg with the klockworks and was impressed. Looking at the 2, the KW flair and the LRS stealth, they appear, at just looking, to be based on the same idea. We will see and report back. BTW, there's 5% off the LRS plus shipping. $87. Thanks for the input.
I had the Harley Windsplitter on my bike and although it worked good, it gave me a lot of wind at the top of my forehead and some small amount of buffeting. I am 5'6". I now have the 8" LRS Ultra flip up and the buffeting is gone and very little wind on the top of my head now.
In my opinion, the Windsplitter has the best looks of these types of shields, but probably does not perform as well as the taller ones.
I have an LRS Ultra 10" and it definitely does as good a job or better than the 12" stock shield that came on the EG Classic. The Ultra is a more traditional look and adds the flip at the top. If I had to do over again the only thing I would do different is buy the 9". I can look over the top of this one, but just barely.
LRS shipped quickly and was half the price of the other shields I was looking at. I am quite happy with their product.
