Ultra fork leak

Are you sure it's the forks leaking? I've had the grease from the steering stem bearings ooze out and down the fork and thought it was the seals, heard of other guys having the same problem especially if the stem has been fully greased.

Check this first if it's your left tube.

I've done the thing with 35mm film before and it worked. Sometimes, a small piece of grit will get in the seal and provide a leak point. The film will dislodge the grit and stop the leak. It doesn't always work, but it's cheap and easy....certainly worth trying before tearing the forks apart.

Just checked it out and yes there was grease all over the lower tree and it was running down the fork tube.
