Well, I've finally decided on the Harley Wind Splitter shield. I'm heading down to pick one up that was set aside for me tonight. I like the look of the Wind Splitter, and I'm not hearing an over abundance of negativity about it from reviews here. It has to be an improvement over my stock 4"? I guess I'll have another review for the Wind Splitter very soon. Provided it ever stops raining here!
I had been going back and forth between the HD windsplitter and the KW 8.5"
Finally decided to get the HD yesterday while bike was in the shop having the trans looked at, but it had been sold!! So on to plan "B" and the KW. Pick it up tomorrow, hope I don't regret the "choice"...
I am 6'2" and have a windspliter. it's somewhat better than the stock 4in windshield that came on my 10 cvo ultra but I still get most of the air in the face with my half helmet. I ended up with a 7 inch recurve that did the trick. It looks great IMO and for around town I like it.
I'm 6' and the stock 4" puts the buffeting wind right dead center of my glasses. If I duck down just slightly, it goes pretty much over my head, so I think this will do it. I like air in my face anyway, thats one of the joys of riding for me? I just don't like the direct in the face, up the nostril, buffeting. normal wind is fine by me, Im not looking for dead air. I think the wind splitter is a nice looking and good compromise to a standard recurve style and the extreme Klock Werks style. Right in the middle. It is a very nice looking shield. I'm looking at it now. I just picked it up.

I think you'll dig it. I put one on a few weeks ago and have done a fair amount of riding with it and I gotta say I love it.
I'm 5' 10" or so and the buffeting with the stock shield honestly didn't beat me up TOO much. But there was definitely buffeting. The Windsplitter is perfect for me. It moved the air up a couple of inches and that's all I needed to make things better.

Thanks SgtThump...That's what i'm hoping for. I'm really liking the lines of this shield and the way it flows with the rest of the Batwing fairing.
If anyone is looking for a HD Wind Splitter (57614-10), I'm selling mine. The Wind Splitter was only on my 2011 Street Glide for about 40 miles or so and it's in great shape.
It's a great addition for a smaller rider (I'm 6'1") or a rider who doesn't mind the wind in his face.
You can buy a new Wind Splitter for $159.95 (plus tax or shipping) or you can buy mine for $100, shipped.
My Wind Splitter has beenSOLD.
