I know you may not want to throw any more money at it, but the addition of Autotune to the PCV makes a big difference. If you like what you have now with the PCV, add Autotune and your smile will widen everytime you twist the throttle. My Stage 1 '08 SG is getting me 42 mpg on a 60% hwy 40% city split daily commute.

Update, I put a map in for Reinhart's, that came from Power Commander's web site. Up to 39.888 mpg at 70 mph. I am happy now. Can't really notice a proformance change, do have a little more heat.

So you detune your bike to save .50 every fill up. If gas mileage is so important why not just leave it stock?

Power cost $$$.

Well lets see at 30 mpg x 6 gal. = 180 miles... At 39.888 mpg about 239 miles. So to go the same distance I would need 2 gals more, and at $3.93 that is $7.86. So when you take a 5000 mile trip, that will ad up. And I don't need the power to cruise. And with the power commander I can flip a switch to go to the HP tune. But thanks for your concern... I am a cheap SOB....

Then hit your page down button 4-5 times maybe more if those numbers are really big. That will trim the shaded areas by -1 each time you hit the button. Go give her a ride. You can always go back.

I would recommend leaving the ignition tables alone for now unless it pings a lot.

I have a 2010 FLHTK with the same basic setup you have. When I installed my PCV my mileage went from 39 - 40 to 32. Wasn't happy with that, but it did run much better. After a few tanks at 32 i started modifying as stated above. I changed the numbers in the 2000 rpm to 3250 rpm to near zero by selecting them and decreasing them using the page down button. I had to turn the number lock off for this to work. I changed my fuel from the 2% to 20 throttle position range. I looked at the ignition and mine is 0 in 2% to 10% and 2 in the 15 to 20% position. I changed my fuel about 15% and didn't go any lower than -5. Mileage now 37 to 44. Oh and it still runs really well. Saw no difference in performance.

I didn't read all the posts before I posted. I added a switch to mine and can switch back to my 32 mpg map in town if getting hot or I want the max performance. I can't tell the difference in cruise between the two. You can have your cake and eat it too.

You gotta be close. Our dyno number are really close & I have a stage 1 too. At 3800 miles I got 41.5 mpg with mixed riding in city & hwy cruising.
