I'm thinking of mounting a led 3 wire running/brake light bar to my tour pak. Would splicing into the tour pak lights (the non led tour pak lights) work? If so, what are the 3 wires- red with yellow stripe, blue, black? One should be ground, one running, the other brake. The United Pacific led light bar has 3 wires, red, black white. Which goes where?
I just put the Air Wing led light in mine. It came with a "Y" to connect if you had lights in the TP. I have the EGC so I just plugged into the connector but if I had the ultra the directions said to use this Y splitter for the 3 wires. You just need the male connector end which is no big deal.

With my voltage tester I determined that: red/yellow stripe wire is the brake light blue wire is the running light black wire is the ground
The United Pacific 12" led light bar (part #39607) with 3 wires: red wire connects to the brake light wire black wire connects to the running light wire white wire is the ground
In the absence of a 3-way connector, splicing worked just fine.
VERY bright brake light with 14 high intensity leds mounted under the tour pak is subtle but effective.
