Default Please HELP!.Ignition switch removal hell!

OK, so im at the point where im getting angry about not being able to remove the damn ignition switch ****..I have read all the posts and watch the 09 SG vidoe that talk about turning it and pressing tab underneath and it popping off..they are for new HD models im guessing...Mine has no such tab..all i can see under the switch is 2 rivets and nothing presses of gives at all for any type of release. Can. anyone please point me in the right direction about getting this thing off!!?? I have 1989 FLHTC..

Wish I could help ya, my bike has the tab. Hopefully someone will chime in and be able to help ya. Have you thought about getting a manual for your bike. It does help to have one.Good Luck

Well after missing the correct directions..over and over...i found the stupid shiny pin in front of the switch housing..it sticks out maybe 1" pointing towards the forks..you pull on it with needle nose and that dang switch **** pops right off... guess it pays to slow down and read the manuals directions that DONT have a detail pic...ha...oh well..hope this helps someone else that may run into this issue...

I was going to ask if you're sure it was a Harley.
