My radio keeps crapping out intermittently. The display and crontrols keep working but the sound gets either muted or basically shut off. I have to cycle the power switch to get the sound back.
I've been told it's te wiring from the main ign/accy switch but noone's been able to cooroborate that.
It's annoying as hell and I either figure out how to fix it or trash the radio and shell out money I don't have for a new one!
Mine did the same thing, send it to www.ironcrossaudio.com It'll cost ya, but they will fix it.
They are quick too. They got my radio on Wednesday and they called me it was fixed on Thursday.
I had a problem with a wire under my faring rubbing against the bracket and causing the problem. It had to get worse before I could find it. By the time it was big enough to find it was blowing fuses when I turned the corner.

OK, they fixed your problem...did they, by chance, happen to mention what the actual problem was?
I'm trying to get it fixed without having to pull the unit and sending it across the country.
Most of the posts on this forum with that problem say the problem was internal and had to be sent in for repair. Handlebar bolts putting pressure on the radio or something like that.
A bad speaker or shorted speaker wire will cause that problem also.
It doing the same thing on my '09 Ultra Classic. I found that flipping the 3-way speaker switch will cause the audio to come back on. I don't know if a Street Glide has the 3-way switch. Mine is also intermittent and I strongly suspect it's in the speaker wiring. I had a Hogtune tweeter installed a few months ago and there's a bunch of those cheap speaker adapter plugs.
It's an internal problem with the radio, I've had three of em and this one is doing the same thing the others did. I'm sending it to iron cross to get it fixed as soon as I get the funds. Pisses me off that a 23k motorcycle has such a piece of crap stereo.
