I have a 07 street glide with stock header pipe with the oval slip ons and the right muffler also turned gold.you can see the gold muffler in my pics. Also from what I've noticed it seems like ever one that has said they have this problem it is on the right side.

 

Don't know about true duals. I have the Rolled Thunder Oval slip ons on my 07 RKC. I bought them because I liked the shape and sound. I have a SE Race Tuner. I have had the bike dynoed and tuned. Bike is not lean at all. I have 38,000 trouble free miles on the bike. I am really not that upset and hadn't given it much thought until this post came up. My dealer where I bought my bike did stand by me and reimbursed me when Samson would not on the first right side slip on tht discolored. Mine did not turn to gold in a few hundred miles like Randy's but I am saying they will turn. I got about one summer (10K miles) on the first right side slip on before it started turning and about the same on the second that I replaced it with. Maybe your true duals won't turn but the Rolled Thunder slip ons will. I think you know they will discolor from your disclaimer under your 'Terms and Conditions'

To all who were interested I am happy to say Samson came through.My replacement for the discolored rightbside arived this morning.I think that wires got crossed or something in the bigining. But all said and done SAMSON CUSTOMER SERVICE came through .Thank you once again.
