Don't feel bad. I was going to change the transmission fluid once and was in a bit of a hurry early one morning before I had my first cup of coffee.
I had the quart of transmission oil sitting there waiting for the old oil to drain. I'm waiting and waiting and waiting and all of a sudden I realize there was way to much oil coming out of the transmission. I had pulled the engine oil plug instead. I had just changed the engine oil a week before. After putting the engine oil plug back in, I removed the transmission plug and was letting it drain while I was re-filling the engine oil.
This is where it really gets stupid. After topping off the engine oil I grabbed the quart of transmission oil and started pouring it in when I notice fresh oil running onto the ground. I had forgotten to put the transmission plug back in.
Needless to say that wasn't one of my better mornings.
Thats one of those deals where you just feel like shitting in your hand and smearing it in your hair.
