I was changing all 3 oils (primary, engine, and transmission). i was trying to change the transmission oil and i took out a plug from the bottom of the motor. it was just a round plug. it used a 1/4 inch allen wrench. just a splash of dirty oil came out. it was on the bottom of the motor, in line with the shiney chrome cover on the right side of the bike. i later found the correct transmission oil plug.
what is this plug, and what do i do to fix any problems i might have cause by letting that small amount of oil out ? also, what is the tourque for this plug ?
that plug is the crankcase plug...engine oil. no big deal letting oil out it is just what drains off the crank, etc. after the engine is shut down. these engines are dry sump with the external oil tank. don't have my manual handy so don't know the torque off hand.
I know you can have 2 maps loaded on your PC-V and change between the 2 on the fly. Just like to see what kind of switch was used and where mounted. Pictures and and advice would be helpfull. disregard...wrong post
