I agree with you, for less than a hundred bucks and a couple hours mine is a different bike with the Heritage style's.

Swap my stock.bars for heritage style bars today. Took two hours, thanks to the info on this forum. Love the bars, will log some miles this weekend to see if they help with the tingling in the hands. The short ride I took afterwards seemed to put my arms and shoulders in a very comfortable position.

I had the heritage bars on for a while..............(can't remember if they were the heritage style or the actual heritage bars themselves).......they kept my hands above my shoulders...........(5' 101/2" with a Corbin solo).

Changed to Wild One's mini apes........wider...........(a big plus)........and just enough lower to keep my hands below shoulder height. Very nice bars.

I did mine along with a grip change, put my old Sundowner seat on and added a backrest... couldn't be more please. Make sure you get the bars adjusted the way you like 'em and then button it up and ride!

I did mine two weeks ago myself on my 06 Road King Classic. Got them for $65.00 off Ebay and bought a set of Avon Air Grips. Made a big difference and after having my seat modified by Mean City Cycles I'm happy camper at 5'4".

Just wondering how they would compare to the Reach Bars (Reduced Reach Road King Handlebar (56152-04B))

Put Heritage bars on my 03 Fatboy with 4 inch pull back risers . . . loved it.

Just put the Wild 1 513s mini-apes on my 03 Road King . . . love it! Feels the same as the Heritage bars felt . . . I am 5'10" with a 30" inseam and normal arm reach with a stock 03 SERK seat . . . the 513s worked out perfect.

You do not have to change from the stock cables with the WO513s (8.5 inch mini-apes . . . most on non-CVO Road Kings even get by with the WO515 (10" baby apes) . . . actually wish I had gone with those for another 1 1/2' since they are 10").

Also, the WO513 bars are fat bars (1 1/4") . . . and, having had both, I like the quality of the chrome on the Wild Ones over the stock Heritage bars . . . there is a reason the stock Heritage bars are cheaper . . . don't get me wrong, they are good, but not as nice looking as the fat bars from Wild 1.

Wild 1 does make some black versions if your bike is Vivid Black . . . a nice look. They are all also notched for TBW too.

If you are worried about fit, the WO513s are only 1 inch under the clamp as with the ends for the grips . . . only fat (1 1/4") on the parts you see.

You might look at picks of RKs with the Heritage bars and compare them with RKs with WO513s (they have lots of pics of customer installs on their website @ http://www.wild1inc.com/roadkings.html) . . . and then decide for yourself . . . the reach will be almost the same with the hands a tad farther out on the WO513s.

Good luck choosing.
