Default Likin the Heritage Bars

Today I had my dealer install the Heritage Style Bars on my 2010 Road King. I am only 5'9" and was reachin for the stock bars. Bars were $80.00 and the Dealer charged 1 1/2 hours labor. They had me sit on the bike and make sure I was comfortable before locking them down. What a difference these bars make. Im now sitting back in a more relaxed position and my hands arent goin numb every 10 minutes. Feels great goin down the open road but will take a little gettin used to in tight maneuvering situations. I didnt have a problem with the wrist angle like some have said on here. Everybody is different, but for a shorter person like me, these feel great.
Enjoy your ride but ride safe!

Default Me too...

Hope you like them. Please keep me informed since I just ordered a set for my '11 FLHR and I'm 6'1". I don't know why the MoCo did this stock combo. Up here in Canada they want 2 hours for the change, must be the exchance rate eh.

Dene, I think you will like them, I had to tilt mine back because I am shorter. You will be able to keep them more upright.

I was wondering about these too. I'm only 5'8 and after the first week and 700 miles my back is a little sore. Gonna look into them, Thanks.

Default Final Fix?

I too put the Heritage style bars on my 09 Road King 2 years ago. That with the Sundowner seat w/adjustable drivers backrest took care of my backache. BUT - here I am 2 years later looking to take the plunge and get higher, more pulled back, handles slightly turned in bars of some kind. I know that the Heritage bars were an inexpensive quick fix (no cable or brake line changes) but looks like I'll be spending the money anyhow! I'm in no rush because this sh** can get really expensive, really fast.
BTW - 5'10"

You might also try the WO513 Wild 1 Chubby mini apes (same size as the heritage bars). They look great, no mods on cable length, they open a little wider for a more comfortable hand placement. Cables can go inside the bars as well. A little more expensive but a superb product and they look great.

Glad to hear you like the bars. I'm having them installed on my 08 Road King next week.
