Default Airing up Rear Shocks

I recently purchased a new Limited and wanted to check the air pressure in the shocks. With my 07 Nomad you had to lift the rear wheel off the ground to check the pressure. In the manual it made no mention of having to do this. Can I check/add air pressure to the rear shocks without having to jack the rear wheel up?

Tx

My manual does not say I need to check it on a jack.

No need to jack it up. Pick up a moco shock pump - makes adding air easy. Nipple is between your fender and left bag - at least that's where it is on my bike

Yeah, but that's only your bike. Everyone else's is under the fairing. Really a pain to adjust.

Maybe your's is under the fairing but all the touring bike's I've seen has it between the left saddlebag and fender, as does mine.

Note to the original poster: Be sure to use a suspension pump such as the one from HD mentioned. If you try to use a regular air fill like used for tires, you will over fill the system and risk damaging it. The volume in the system is very low and is not designed for being filled with systems used for tires. Not sure if you knew that or not so thought I'd mention it.

Hope this helps.

I have an '07 and mine's between the left saddlebag & fender.
To the OP- it doesn't have to be raised to check the pressure. Would also suggest you get the pump w/gauge either from HD or Progressive Suspension.

Say what?? I think its the other way around. Everyone else has the fitting between the rear fender and bag. Never heard of one under the fairing.

On the RKC it is between the bag and fender on the left side as well.
