Default late model fuel mileage question?

Neighbour was talking to me last night, he is thinking about picking up a late model (07 or later) dresser with the six speed. Said that he heard that stock six speeds with 96" are getting 350 km (220 miles) easily out of a tank of fuel.

Just curious if thats correct?

What is everybody getting?

That's optimistic for an '07- bone stock it might do it but you'd be sucking fumes. Those with the 6 gal tank (post '07) can probably hit 220 and then some.
I get 41 mpg with a 5 gal tank. I'm running Xied's for enrichment so my mileage is diminished slightly; I think I got 43 mpg before installing them. I usually stop for gas around 160-180 miles, which is about the time I'm wanting to stop & stretch my legs anyway...

Depends a lot on the road as well. I've gotten as high as 52mpg riding the BRP where the speed limit is 45 mph. At 80mph on interstate it drops to the low 40's. I'm running pipes, hi flo air filter and a Fuel Pac.

I usually plan on refueling before 200 miles but have gone over. Don't remember how much over but I was worried I would run out. I normally get in the mid 40s for mpg running 70-90 mph on good roads with light traffic or interstates. High 40s at slower speeds.

He is not 'light' on the throttle on his Kawasaki rig, he is seriously looking for fuel at 160 km (100 miles).

Can't see him getting 350 km on a tank.

My scoot has a Dynojet kit in the carb and I do about 220 km/140 miles on 12 litres/3 US gallons of fuel.

Never got close but like having the reserve.
My fugly was a FI and sometimes I got a bit nervous getting low.

I'm running stage 1 with Rinehart SO on a 08 RG stock TC96 with PCV - average over 50 mpg when I take it easy on the juice and 45 when I use a heavy hand. I can usually run about 270 miles before I fill up (6 gallon tank) just to be safe - walking sucks! Ride safe and often.

2011 RGU stage 1 and tts mastertune vtuned and riding the speed limit get exceptional mpg 50-55mpg. Roadglides seem to get better mpg must be more aerodynamic.

I have an 09 FLHX. Seldom get less than 400 km out of a tank. The most I got was 480. Only twice have I got less than 350km and both times were into strong headwinds.
