HD garage door opener

Just bought the HD garage door opener and installed pretty easy. Follow all instructions as far as setting the transmitter and receiver (numerous times) and on the initial try my door opens one direction only and doesn't work anymore. I can completely reset everything (reinstall wire to receiver, reprogram transmitter ect) and it works only one way once again. I've taken the receiver (part that plugs into the wall) back to the HD shop and gotten a diff one thinking i got a bad one, but it acts exactly the same. My garage door opener is 2 yrs old Sears. HD shop has no ideas so I'm looking for some ideas on what the problem could be!!!!

I had same issues.... how close is he antenna from HD unit to the antenna to the garage door antenna? once I sepperated them from each other by a few feet they both work great.

i've tried several spots, I moved my bike out to the end of the driveway; no change. Then I put the receiver on an extention cord and wired the receiver to my wall control so i could move it into my house away from the garage door opener (25 ft?) and still the same thing.

Sounds like you need to take the whole thing back and do the home made Radio Shack $3 opener.

I bought one of the mini openers for my Chamberlin door opener on ebay. I ziptied it to my handlebars. Works great. I have one on both of my bikes.

Ummm, well not the answer I was looking for...I have the mini opener for my bike...but it's very nice to just hit the hi beams and if working correctly....open says me!

I have one, and the only issues I have is I occassionaly have to unplug the reciever and plug it back in to "reset" it. (happened once so far) I love it.
