A real close friend has a 07 RK, black with 4300 miles on it, beach bars with braided lines, rush mufflers and a PCIII, big sucker breather, just like new for 14,500, I'm just say'n.
I say it's not a good deal. You can look at KBB or NADA all day, but if bikes are selling on forums, trader, craigslist, and ebay for less... then KBB and NADA crap. The same goes for any vehicle. You have to check what they are actually selling for. The internet makes it a whole lot easier to do that.
Look around, because I see much better deals all the time.
I agree 110%. The bike (car, watercraft, snowmobile, whatever) is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.
For somebody trying to sell their bike, don't expect to even get close to KBB or NADA unless you're selling to an uninformed buyer. Added extras are worth NOTHING unless you find someone who wanted to do EXACTLY the same thing to their bike.
Trust me, I speak from personal experience (twice).
That is a good deal...I checked Kelley Blue Book because I'm getting ready to sell my 2009 RK with only 1700 miles...complete with Detachable Backrest, Luggage Rack, Stage One w/H-D Tuner Download, and cruise for $16,500...its immaculate. KBB retail is $16,875. I have three motorcycles and one scooter...something has to go.
Sent you a PM. Lets talk. I live very close to you.
