....less then 2oo miles on the new 2011 FLHTK got stopped by a Train so I turn the Bike off while waiting. When it's time to go - start the bike up and Get "LIMP MODE" ~no go fast~ so I get out of traffic off the side of the road (this could be a safty Issiue) turn's the key switch off/on 3 times nothing -called dealer cause its only two days old see if there some kind of trick. while waiting on "Hold" while waiting switched off/on three times again and switched the Run/Off switch a couple times Bike starts up and I'm down the road - they said they need to check the codes -
it's running good at this time thought Id go with it see if it happens again or get it looked at when the 1000mi. service comes up-any thoughts?
Mine did it with just under 1000 miles on it. Dealer thought it may be throttle grip sensor but it showed no codes so he greased the ecm connectors with dialectic grease , which he said had fixed a lot of the '09's(he assumed the problem had been fixed). Later went to Milwaukee in a monsoon, about a thousand mile round trip no problems. Now right at 5k on the clock, so far, so good. Heading out next week to Shark Week, probably 2k round trip.
BTW he said the MOCO had a fix for the problem, something to do with the ecm ports but since it showed no codes he couldn't replace anything 'yet'
