The bike was dyno'd by myself & Paul (owner) at Street Rider of Reno, my old shop. It has several dyno runs on it & then I tweeked the tables to dial in to the rpms where I wanted more fuel or when I wanted it leaner.
Its not your typical wide open dyno & then a canned map tossed in. A fair amount of time went into dialing it in to my riding style.
But I have to agree, the "Aero" windshield may have added several MPG to the numbers !

If you are riding a 2007 or newer with a 103" engine that (brace yourselves) has been professionally tuned...you should expect mid-to-upper 40's. I've got guys that are afraid to use the throttle who get 50+ and guys that use it a lot that break to 40, but that's about the extent of our range. Doesn't matter if we built a 120hp 103 or a 95hp 103, they're all in the same range when tuned by our dealership.
I'm sure Fast Aire can agree...nothing replaces having it properly dynotuned by a knowlegable technician.
2011 FLHX103, Stage 1
I can get as low as 40 if I screw off, and have gotten 52 riding with a group on the highway. Normal mixed riding, usually around 46.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't know SR had a dyno. Good to know.
My 2011 RGU is stock and has about 4200 miles on it now. I have been getting from mid to high 40's on mainly back roads. Interstate at 65 mph gives me 47-48. Yesterday I took a combination straight and mountain roads for a 345 mile ride and got 50.7 mpg. I have not been hard on it and have done mostly solo riding with light loads. With temps in the 70-90 range, I have been getting more consistent mileage. Cooler weather in the 40-50 range gave me mid 40's during break in.
I got 47mpg yesterday on a 90 mile jaunt. I'm running stage one, PCV & jackpot dyno tuned mufflers. I was rolling on the throttle a lil bit but not much.
