Pretty much anything from Von Braun sounds good. The Phantoms are expensive, but sound great and look quite unlike anything else.

I just put 3.5" Rineharts on my 2011 Road King with no other mods and I think they are perfect ..quiet enough that I can head out of my neighborhood at 5:30 on a sunday but substantially louder than stock with a great tone .... My friend has the same mufflers on his 2011 Street Glide but also has true duals a high flow ac and a race tuner and they are MUCH louder than mine ..

Well, I'm getting a little confused, but I'm really glad I asked the question and I appreciate all the replies.

I'm starting to think I need to get rid of the Cats. With my Heritage, the Cats were in the OEM Mufflers so when I replaced them with Rush Slip-Ons, the Cats were gone.

With the Touring, the Cats are in the Headpipe, so to get rid of them, I either need to drill or punch them out, or just go with a full system.

As I understand it, as long as I don't mess with the A/C, I can change the exhaust without a Tune. Eventually, I'll do a Tune and A/C, but just want to wait until I have at least a thousand miles on the motor before it gets Dynoed.

Looks like I've got some decisions to make, thanks for all the help!

see my sig line mods. Deeper sound, only a little louder than stock, pleasant at highway speeds, and going "cat-less" significantly reduced the heat. Here in SEAL, South East Alabama, getting rid of heat is important.

I have only heard good things about the Reinharts. A friend put the Vance and Hines on his 2011 Street Glide and they are a bit loud for him. Sound good at idle, but the drone geets painful after about 50 miles or so.

With all these post I'm not surprised! Save your money for a full stage 1 upgrade, you will not be disappointed. That is, full exhaust system, fuel management tuner, and high flow air cleaner. When you do purchase, make sure you talk to the different companys to make sure what your bying is compatible with each other.
Don't start cutting out the cats, your just going to waste a lot of time and not be out riding.
My opinion, I would ride that bike for at least a season or a year, get some miles on it, and make sure that all works BEFORE you start making you changes.
Doing just the exhaust and not the rest of the components for a stage 1 can cause problems. 1. Your bike already runs lean from the factory thanks to the EPA, ie. no "Harley" sound, so now it will run leaner with your new exhaust. 2. Your new scoot will run hot and could pose a threat to your engine since it is air cooled. 3. You'll get that nice "blueing" on the headers. Slip-ons stink and are a waste of money, in my opinion.
Also, forget YouTube! You will not get a quality sound reproduction from those videos. Best bet is to go to some rallys or other events where there are other bikes and listen to the different bikes' rumble. Then ask them what they are running. This way, you can get exactly what you want!
Last thing, post what you want when you want. Yeah a simular question may have been asked before, but it's nice to get some "fresh" information thats up to date. And thats the American Way! Ride hard and ride safe!

Also, btw, I have a 09 RKC with Rhinehart True Duals, S&S tear drop a/c, and a TTS Mastertune! I freakin love it! Rhineharts rock! Awesome sound when you crack the throttle, yet quiet when you need to be at 5 am going to work.

If 50 guys respond, you'll get 50 different answers. First you have to decide how loud you want. Some guys like it really loud, others want to hear the stereo.

I recommend Vance and Hines Monster Ovals and the Power Duals headers (look on eBay). Excellent quality, good rumble without being too loud, and a bit more HP. Add a Power Commander and high flow air kit and you'll be set. Well, at least until you decide you need cams.
