Wouldn't stop me from using but maybe others..
And your exhaust, power commander, SERT, etc. are not for street use either. So what?
As to those bulbs, those are the ones that I tried. Nor amber, off-white at best.

What part of "Wouldn't stop me from using but maybe others.." is confusing?
From my perspective, the color or the running/fog lights is a matter of what the intentions are. When I was in Germany in the Army, the car had the anber fog lights and they were great to be seen, but I wasn't impressed with what I could see. I live in the country and drive on rural roads a lot, so I want my running lights aimed out front and slightly to the side. The right light aimed at the ditch and the drivers eyes on side streets, the left on just slightly left of center and not quite as high as the right. I want white light to see the critters in the ditches..
Buts that my opinion and choice. If I were adding another pair to the loweres, they would be amber.
