I ride a 2007 StreetGlide .
HD doesn't list in the P&A catalog a cruise control kit for my bike. will a kit for a 2008 StreetGlide fit a 2007 SG ?
Seen one on ebay going for $250.00.
Can I piece a kit together from the dealer or do I have to buy the complete kit?
Or if someone can point me in the right direction to were I can buy the parts/kit, I would appeciate it
Good luck brother. The 2007 cruise control is single year, you can piece it together through spares, it'll cost you ~$600 to do it. I got mine used for about $400 and I felt lucky to get it. Search long an hard one will show up.
I did mine the week before Sturgis.. KEEP LOOKING... You can find them. I hear some of the dealerships in the UK can get original kits still and ship them here for under $500.. They aren't cheap, but you can get them.
Why not use a throttle locker type (friction) set-up?
I know it will not dis-engage when climbing to steep a hill or when you tap your brakes, but one needs to be paying a little more attention to road conditions than those two mentioned benefits.
Just my .02 opinion this morning.
