I am looking for the cruise control for a 2007 FLHRS. I know they are obsolete so I might need to peice a kit together unless someone has a kit they want to sell. Anyone have a kit?

If you're starting from scratch the kit is probably the best way to go. It's pricey, but like you said they're an obsolete setup.
My experience having that vintage cruise control on two bikes is the switches fail (set/resume on mine, twice), and the module itself (I replaced two modules). Might not be a bad idea to have a spare for these items, especially the cruise module itself. Last time I looked no one made an equivalent unit, and no one was repairing them. That could have changed. The modules used to be available on eBay, used and new.

It looks like I will need to piece together a kit on my own. Does anyone have the handlebar controls or a good cruise module for a 2007 Road King custom that they would like to sell?
Is there any reason why I cant use the switch housings from a different model harley? I know the correct ones will have the cruise power switch but I could use one of the accessory switches in triple tree for power.
wow, didn't know they were so expensive. i think i'd be looking at a throttle lock...lol. glad i got one on my 2013. i don't have one on my 2005 yamaha but got a paddle that helps. good luck on getting parts or installing a kit.

I thought about adding cruise control to my 04' RK, but opted to a $30 throttle lock (works great). The 04'-08' are prewired from the factory. The module connection is wire tied near where you would mount the module. The biggest issue I've read with the module is hooking up the stepper cable to the throttle body (small jesus clip and tight quarters). You can find modules all the time on ebay, typically $100-160 used. You would need the 70955-04. As far as the bar controls, I read where they switched connector mfgs. around 06', so if you find a 04-05' you will have to buy and rewire your connectors. On my 04' the manual shows two main connectors coming from the right side controls, (1) 6 pin and (1) 4 pin. Most of the EG and RK have only (1) 12 pin connector, so if you use one of those, you may need to rewire either it or your bike to fit. If the parts are available you may be able to order a lower housing from the RK Classic and the cruise switch. You could use your aux. switch to operate the on/off, but may need to change connectors. If you can find all of the parts, you should be able to do it for under $300. Keep this thread alive and check back in and give us an update on how it turned out.
Man cruise control is very expensive add on. As much as I would love to have that I think I'm Gonna pass after looking at the forums. Throttle lock it is
