I found a 1999 Road King classic for 6,000. It needs a new fender due to a a minor collision. It has 30,000 miles, 2 into one pipe, and a power commander. What do you guys think?????? Good deal?

Information seems limited:
Is title clear?
Is frame bent?
Forks/sliders OK?
Triple tree OK?
Rim OK?
Engine guard bent?
Engine guard tab bent?
Minor collision is a broad/huge word.
If bike is clean and only needs a fender/paint/trim pieces for front fender then on paper price is good since repair/replacement would be under $800..BUT messed-up bags, torn seats, engine guards, fork sliders, floorboards, dented gas tank adds up fast.
I think the classic looks better with 2 pipes and i would wonder if the originals are available or were they damaged?

I paid $8500 for a '99 RKC about 3 months ago. I feel it was a fair price, however it only had 12k miles and needed no work, very clean. So $6000 seems very fair if the only part needed is a front fender. And that's a big IF.
Do your homework. Even though I found a great deal for a similar price I've had to put some money into it. The miles aren't high, but age can make things go bad as well. I was lucky enough that the seller allowed me to have the shop look it over, it was well worth the $100 cost to get a professional opinion.
It could be a great deal if that's all it needs. For perspective, I just bought an 02 RKC with 10k miles for $8500. It had just been dealer serviced and had current reg, new Avon tires, PC3, stage 1, and a Corbin seat. All it needed was a good waxing. There are a lot of deals out there with motivated sellers. On the flip side, I took a beating when I sold my 07 Street Bob.
Litterally the only thing it needs is a front fender, left signal and crash bar. I hope out all works out so I can off the RG and keep the RK. Luckly I do quite a bit of body and paint so that will cost me pretty much zero dollars....
I paid $7,800 for a 2007 RK with 38,000 miles on it. No damage and a few minor issues that I took care of myself. Seller was hurting for cash. Found it on e-bay. I'm now going on 42,000 miles and it's been a good one so far. Vivid black, hard leather bags and 3/4 windshield. Ex cop bike.
