iclick why cant we have a tuner that just looks at what the engine is doing and tunes accordingly.
Do you mean a stock tuner that does everything? If so, it doesn't do everything, but does a decent job. What we've been given is the product of two primary factors in tuner design: Meeting EPA regs and making the bean counters happy. We get what meets EPA regs at the lowest cost to HD, and a sophisticated tuner with wide-band O2 sensors that does everything means higher costs.
Can I ask how much this whole setup costs? I'm looking to purchase the same for my glide.
I think Fuel Moto sells these for around $650. It is a very good device with certain limitations, like you must send them your stock ECM for conversion and the tune you get is not something you can change. Jamie at Fuel Moto says it is a good device with a definite niche in the marketplace, but it isn't for those who want to tweak their tune. I don't think there's a way to dyno-tune it or otherwise manipulate the tune, so you'll have to live with what you get.
was there today just to pick up the Power Vision......bang......scheduled the 107" kit to be installed Aug 4........Jamie was one cool cat with a very nice building and crew.
We are striving for perfection, something that unfortunately is unobtainable. Because just when we think that we are satisfied with what we have done, that little voice in our head says "what if.......".
I have had this same problem with my cars, when I had boats, hell even when I played golf I had to have the best equipment (it never helped my game).
But I can honestly say that I have never been happier with a " toy" as I have since I started riding Harleys.
