Default Need replacement compressor for Air Seat.

Ok I know I have asked this before. I need a replacement compressor for my Road Zep Seat. It is out of warranty so the cost is on me. If have checked to make sure the Aux switch is working and I am sure it is the compressor failure.

Thomas, who made the compressor for Milsco told me they didn't make it anymore for Milsco. Milsco wants 145.00 to send the seat back and replace the compressor. I know the compressor is not very expensive and I can do the work myself if I can get a replacement.

Does anyone have any ideas on who is now making the compressor for Milsco? Or where I can get a Thomas 8003 12/vdc compressor?

This is the third time I have had problems with the seat since I bought it in 2007. For $900.00 you would think the thing would last a little longer.

Any help is appreciated.

did you check if you had power at the connector first and I have not figured out what fuse runs that switch yet

I'd pull that compressor out of there, and hook it up directly to voltage (12 VDC, presumably) and make sure it's toast.

Yes I did check the connector with a volt meter. The fuse is on the P&A fuse in the fuse block. I also checked the acc fuse in the fuse block. All fuses checked OK.

I will try to hook the seat up to another 12 vdc and see what happens.

There is a guy in KY that repairs our oxygen concentrator compressor... i will try to find out who he is on Monday and let you know... we use to have Thomas repair them but they seem to stay away from repairs now and only want to sell us new stuff so we fix and buy parts from another source and also found this other guy to repair.

You must really love that seat, is all I can say. Me, I'd have sent it in and moved on. I'm pretty handy too, but sometimes you just have to punt.

I want to put my $.02 in, not only because mine stopped working during a ride, and I figured out why, but in case it fails again, and I need a new compressor. What happened to mine was one of the 2 wire that push into the connector somehow vibrated out just a little and was not making connection.I pulled both wires out of the connector, and placed them on the battery and the compressor worked, so I confirmed my issue. Pushed them back in until they locked in place, and it's been working ever sense.

I paid $1100 for my Corbin seat and it doesn't even have a compressor, just heat.
