I bought a used ('07) Ultra. my first Tourer. I know the bike has been lowered in the rear, it's easy to see the lowering brackets once the bags are off, but how do I know if the front was also lowered or is it not possible to do the rear without the front and finally how is the front lowered?
Also, the bike is very comfortable for me, prior to this purchase I rented an '08 Ultra and an '011 Road Glide Ultra. Both rented for a day and I didn't like the ride on the RGU at all. I also think the ECU was lowered but I can't confirm. My other question if I want to remove the lowering kits on the '07, what all would be involved?
Lowering the front would most likely be different springs in the forks. Lots of people just lower the rear. I'd go ahead and remove the blocks, see how it sits/rides.
Seems there is something with tearing the boots on the rear shocks when lowered. My 08 has a lowering kit and when trying to find replacement boots, one of the first questions was if it was lowered. Not sure why.
