Actually I've been reading alot of negative coments about the Switch Back here but in my opinion I think it will do well. Like you said an all around bike for around town or cross country. The merging of the style of a dyna with that of a heritage is unique.
Of course it's nothing I would give up my touring bike for, especially after seeing the new CVO Street Glide.
I kinda like it. Some things are good, others aren't. I like the front end on it. The bags look stubby. Some heritage or RKC style bags would look good IMO.
went to the dealer today at lunchtime, and saw one up close. to me it looked like a baby RK, or if you were to put a RK in front of a fun house mirror you'd get the SwitchBack. the seat looked very comfortable for a stocker, and the right height was ***-draggin low. it's almost like HD wanted a touring version for chicks who can't handle the weight and height of a touring frame...i say this because there were 3 women waiting to test run them and a few others gathered around the ones being uncrated.

poochie - my wife is thinking of one for just the reasons you state.
I like it. I ride solo only, with that in mind I think that bike would have been fine with me had they had it in 11. But I don't think you can get cruise control on it, I need that.
Overall, I think it will sell.
