Default New valve stem extension

Finally!!! No more cussing at the new style wheels when it is time for an air check or fill.

Valve Stem Extension

Sometimes, there's just not enough space around the tire's valve stem for the gas station air chuck and hose to reach. Brake rotors, sprockets and saddlebags get in the way and keep the air chuck from making an airtight seal. When that happens, just use this Valve Stem Extension which provides easy access. Simply screw the extension in place on the stem, fill the tire to the proper pressure, remove the extension, and replace the valve stem cap. Then toss the extension in your saddlebag or tool roll for the next time.

Jeeze... leave it to HD to sell its customers a $10 item to fix a $2.00 problem.
Wouldn't it be easier to just install a 45 or 90* stem to begiin with?
Nawwwww..... too easy of a solution.

But, Im sure they'll sell a bunch of them.

Just saw this while I was waiting for the dealer to finish up on my 10,000 mile service . . . so I picked up one of these. Should make it much easier to air up. Thanks!!

I just bought the 82 degree offset for my bike. I have them in the box and will change out the stems when I do the tires. It cost me $18.00 with no shipping charge. I'll let you know how they work out, but my tires are still in good shape, so it will be a while.

These dually valve stems look like they would have the proper angle to work well. http://www.ebay.com/itm/DUALLY-BRAID...5ef989&vxp=mtr

Can't help but wonder if the OP tried that doohickey or just saw it and thought it was a good idea. It has such a long, straight section where it connects with the valve stem that it looks just as unwieldy as not having it at all. Has anyone actually used one and can report on it?

I have 2012 RKC with spoke wheels. The front wheel is bad enough to get to to add air but the rear is a real m effer. I am looking at the same type as Rickr01. That would solve my problem (I think). I wonder though even though these won't weigh much if they could have an effect on the wheel balance. The valve stem and wheel weights are in line with each other on the rear wheel.
