I've ridden some pretty gnarly bikes with some ridiculously uncomfortable seats and have never gotten monkey butt. Maybe I just keep my *** cleaner than some.

That is funny!
I even got monkey butt on a cold day with no sweat on a vinyl seat. Monkey butt can occur when the circulation in your *** is cut and you feel pain and numbness. I guess sweating doesn't help either. If you can keep the *** cool, then the cramping and itching will not kick in with lack of circulation. If you start to feel any numbness, all you do is contrast some muscles and hold it for 10 secs. Get that blood flowing.
I was interested in the HD circular pad untill I found out the $90 is for the rider only, passenger in another $70.I thought it came in pairs, still interested but had to get use to the price.

Having a skinny *** is my defense against monkey but. More air flow between the cheeks.
I actually like the stock seat and would think it almost perfect if it were of a quality leather. ... I would like a service that simply re-upholsters the stock seat in quality leather.
Check out Mean City Cycles, I believe they would re-upholster it for you.
None of the above. Get a quality leather seat, preferrably a custom seat made specifically for you. Several companies to choose from in either custom or one size fits all. Bottom line, leather cures monkey-butt.
Another lesson learned, this one from a lot of time in the tropics....going "commando" allows better airflow for cooling and butt-funk evaporation.
Get off at 100 miles?! That would make a very long day......a break while fueling is good enough....: )

If you're doing a 500 mile day then taking a 10 min break every 100 miles adds less than an hour to your day. Seems like not riding enough miles around here is almost as bad as trailering your bike somewhere.
If stopping every 100 miles is what lets you enjoy your ride then do it, no matter what anyone else thinks! Not everyone likes iron butts. I should really crank people up and get a trailer, put the bike in it, and stop THAT every 100 miles :-)

Do what's right for you, the hell with what others think. I just picked up the HD circulation pad for about 75.00 and it does what it is supposed to.
