So I'm out for a ride...........
In the low 100's nice breeze....
ahhhhhhh
feet up on the highway pegs...
CLUNK, SNAP, CLUNK
"what the hell was that" Hmmm bike makes a strange noise noting draggin..
I didnt stop....
look down NO speedo, Key light is on????
What the QUACK??
Well I guess the noise mussta been the speedo cable breaking?
Guess I'll be calling (bringing) the bike over to the dealer?
Only 1988 miles on it and this??

does this sound right or could it be sumthin else?

It is a 05 roadking
was riding along about 45 mph and heard a clunnk and coudnt feel anything odd. kept ridin (had to get home)
looked at speedo and nutting moving no odometer and the little key light for the alarm is on.??

Sounds like a speed sensor on the transmission went south on you. There's diagnostics in the do it yourself forum that will help you out.
I'll bet your directionals don't self cancel either? code P0501-P0502?
