I know that this has been covered numerous times before but I am looking for some additional help. I am planning on using my stock HK deck with a Vibe amp but i am having a hard time choosing a speak. Listed below are the speakers I have looked at. I was wondering if anyone has past expierence with these or would recommend something else.
The polk components will be my next speakers. I have infinity kappas now. They sound good but lean a little to the high end. I'll probably switch next Christmas. I plan on changing the deck then.
If you want something that sounds spectacular you will need to step up to Focal K2 Powers... But the price is $500+ and on a bike you really wont enjoy it at speed over 30 MPH.
Yes they can. But of course I have a Kenwood head unit and the new RF 300w amp as well. Very impressed with the Polk. Even been wet a few time and still performed. No issues with them.
Poll are marine grade speakers. Been running them in my boat for 3 years. They will definetely be my next bike speakers. Components only. Tweeters in volt meter and temp. locations.
Don't forget that if you have an '07 up bike and aren't using an amp, you need to go with 2 ohm speakers. Your factory radio isn't powerful enough to bring 4 ohm speakers up to an acceptable sound level without distortion.
