I put my MP3 player in there. It's a short run of wire up to the input jack on the radio.

I came to about the same conclusions as wnogood. I think I've made them about as useable as I can by putting a small waterproof drawstring stuff sack in each (get em at outdoors stores). All my poop goes in the bag, just pull the bag out by its drawstring and all the stash is right there in front of my face to pick through it for what I want... versus fishing around in the bottom of the cubby hole.

I keep an extra breath of fresh air in both of mine. Just not a great idea from any standpoint. Cant lock them. Not water tight. Hard to reach. I mean, I guess you could keep something in there that you do not expect to need on a regular basis.

Jeff 194, Yesterday I put the Ktag in there and tried it 3 times. It worked 3 times! I stopped at the Ktag office and got another one, so I could put the one back in the truck. I velcroed it to the floor and then put a zip tie around it to boot. It works great so far. Big Sled, Ktag's or Pike Passes vary by state as to what they are called. They are little radio transmitters about the size of a deck of cards. They allow you to motor down the toll roads without stopping to pay. They have a receiver you drive under, it picks up your signal, opens the gate, then you are off and running! You do not have to stop and get a ticket, stop and pay, fish out money with gloved hands etc........ They rock!

Aw, I was just funnin with you... we have no toll roads in Montana... any toll booth here would be burned to the ground... and the yahoo who built it would be deported to Massachusetts or some other foreign country.

Has anyone purchased the molded liners MOCO sells? Thought about adding to make the space more usable.

My toll tag does not work in the faring compartment here in Dallas but when it takes your picture on a Ultra the license plate is so far under the tour pac that the picture does not show it anyway.

Thought about it but ain't got around to it.

I keep octane boost, bug repellant (watch out the DEET don't eat the plastic), couple of rags, etc.

You can't really seal them unless you never plan on taking them off.

I keep my kick stand plate in the left one and a small micro fiber cloth in the right side for wiping my glasses with in the rain. Maybe a set of light weight riding gloves when it starts (?) to get cool.

I put my XM Roady in the left compartment and use the cigarette lighter for power. My antenna wire is attached along the left side of the bike with the antenna on the back edge of the tour pak rack.
