Thanks for the info, I did as instructed with the 1/8" easy clutch on my 08 ultra classic and everything is good. thanks.
If yours is stock (harly lists it as an EZ clutch) for 06 and up you want to follow the instructions that are in the book that were posted by kerrycorcoran. The 1/8 adjustment is for aftermarket EZ clutches that are even easier.
This is what I had to do with my 08 Ultra when I ran out of adjustment length on cable: Stock Clutch
Pull back boot on cable. Unlock jam nut on cable adjuster. Collapse cable to shortest length. You will notice clutch lever has no tension on it now.
Remove derby cover and unlock clutch adjustment jam nut. Turn adjust screw in while watching clutch lever. Clutch lever will slowly start to move back to extended position.
When clutch lever just touches perch ( Clutch lever back to full out position ) stop turning screw in.
Back screw out 1/2 to 1 turn and lock jam nut.
Pull clutch 3 times
Adjust cable so ferrule at clutch lever has 1/16 to 1/8 inch free play.
Reinstall derby cover and cable boot.
