I just (for the first time) installed a set of s&s spo on my 2011 Electra glide and they did not go as far as in as the stocks were. I had to move out that little bracket under the saddle bags to be able to put the screws in. Is this ok? Or if not how do I get them in further?
They don't all fit the same, that is why you have the slider. If it won't go on any farther and they don't leak (do you hear any popping?) then you are fine.
Did the back bracket line up ok? If so and you are not getting any pop I would be happy with that.
Re read, I missed that you have moved the bracket under the bags, I dont think they are on all the way. How many miles do you have on the bike? You may need some pb blaster on the pipes to get them to go into the header. The back bracket needs to line up.

Repost.
They do not all fit the same, it is okay to adjust the ajustable slider, that is why it is adjustable. If you got them on as far as you can and they don't leak then your job is done. Ride and enjoy.
