I have a Hornet deer whistle installed on my bike and I have never really noticed if it works or not as I never seem to have it on when I see deer or I have it on and never see deer....seems like it works right...LOL....I am curious if anyone on the forums have experience with the Hornet and what they have noticed.

Sometime ago I met the inventor of a certain brand of deer whistle in a casual setting and he openly stated that it was based on nothing more than a "theory" with no real world data to support the effectiveness.
When the deer whistles first started hitting the market, the trucking company i drove for bought into the hype and installed them on several trucks. Thought they were great til 2 drivers both hit deer on the same road, same night. When contacted, manufacturer told boss " both those deer must have been deaf" and refused to help pay damages so i've never used one since.

No real world experience here, but your post is a classic example of how some company's keep selling stuff.
If a "cheap" product is no good, then a more expensive one has to work.
Of course that may be true in most cases.
In my opinion, these deer whistles are not one of those cases.
