I went with the Harley LED headlight, spot lights, front and rear turn signals and tail light. The headlight and spotlights were the revised versions (I believe the original version had a condensation problem on some). No regrets.
I went with the Truck-Lite. I installed the headlight trim ring because it stuck out too far for my tastes. I probably wouldn't have put a trim ring on if not for the new headlight but, in the end, I LIKE IT!!
I went with the TL/KuryAkyn LED Headlight and LED Passing lights. It was an easy call for me. Putting aside the fact that the Kury LEDs are nearly half the price of the HDs, there's a signficant and important reason to go with the Kury vs the HD IMO.
The HD has an advantage (although not that much) in its ability to light the road at night, but it's real downfall is during the day. The HD while slightly better than the Kury at night is nearly invisible during the day from any angle other than straight on.
The HD approach was to have a very focused beam. The Kury approach was to mix both a focused beam and a scattered beam with more actual LEDs. The difference is dramatic. If you ride like I do (probably 90% daytime riding) than the Kury provides significantly better visbility to others during the daytime. In fact, even a stock headlight provides far greater visibility during the daytime than the HD LED headlight.
I went with the Harley led headlight and aux lights. They are very pricy, but they feel very solid and they are worth the $$ in my opinion.
My buddy and I have the same bike but his does not have the led's yet and when we ride at night it is amazing how much more road these light up over
the stock headlight.
I agree and believe the hd ones are the best looking ones by far
Truck light is a simple plug and play setup. Costs 1/2 the HD and provides much better light than stock.
While costing twice as much, the HD units are even a bit better in the lighting department.
The Truck lights are military grade, and made of cast aluminum instead of plastic, and have impact resistant lenses that will not shatter from thrown up rocks.
The reason the Truck lights are so much less money, is that they were developed for the military to add better lights to military vehicles and HumVees. There was a large department of energy grant provided to cover the development costs.
They both give a much better quality of light, and make night driving much more relaxing.
