Sorry my fellow black rg owner, but those fine scratches are gonna happen.I use a new microfiber cloth every time I clean my bike with a high grade spray cleaner, and boom! A tiny little scratch will appear. Make sure your cloth doesn't hit the ground or you use the same cloth you might have used chrome polish on.The tiniest gradient in the cleaner or cloth can cause very fine scratches. It bugs the **** out of me too,but it's what you deal with when you have the baddest color! You can limit them with a little extra care.

I first take the California Duster over the entire bike, then use detailer. Then when I need to really detail,I still use the duster first, then use Turtle Wax Black Box. It works great if you follow directions. After you are done,it should remove all swirls, and scratches.
I have had black vehicles and bikes for years and I finally found something that works to hide the little micro scratches. Turtle wax black detailer. It really works well as it has some black in it and it fills in the little scratches. I never detail without a total soapy suds wash and like was said above always a new micro fiber towel. one speck of grit and it is a mess.
My Bike is'nt Black, but My buddy has a Black SG. He always had the little scaatches after detailing. He started using Lemon pledge and guess what, no more scratches.
