You would love the Road King "standard".

I know I do!

 

I know 2 guys who bought the RK and later added one of the aftermarket "detachable" fairings. Well, the "detachable" fairings have never come off........

 

Bleachey that does happen a lot.

Yet, I have a detachable fairing and I still prefer the standard windshield. I use the detachable fairing only for cool/cold weather riding (spring and fall here in MN) or for long distance touring where I want some tunes.

But that is what makes the Road King such a great bike. It can do anything with its versitility.
