Hi all, just wondering if someone on here that has a quick detach setup for their tourpak can tell me what I need to order? I know I have to get mounting bracket and docking kit but do I also need a wiring harness? Anything else?
Yeah, you need to accept the shaking and rattling that comes with it and your passenger bitching about itvibrating and slapping her in the back, and be prepared to replace the plastic bushings at least once per season.

I am three seasons into a detachable on a Road King. I have never had problems with passenger complaints or worn bushings. YMMV
Whether you need a wiring harness depends upon what bike you have. I also had to have an antenna relocation kit, but again, that's bike dependent.
If you're buying the tourpack new, make sure you're getting all the hardware--latches, lock, etc. It may be different now, but when I bought mine in 06 the lock for the lid was optional and extra. Like you might just want to have a 1/2 inch hole there....

The wife loves her "throne". I even looked in the mirror the other day to see her leaned back and relaxed with her hands OFF of the passenger grab rails. I've heard about the bushings but as of yet haven't had to replace them.
My Tour-Pak was added on afterwards. I just purchased a light kit for it and it has a plug in cable to hook up the power with. No radio, so I couldn't tell you about antennas.
Sorry, I should've specified I have a 2007 Ultra. If it shakes and vibrates I won't bother.
It won't shake or vibrate more than the bike, I have one and love it. When I ordered the kit, I ordered the tour pack, the hardware to mount to the tour pack, the back rest, and the docking hardware, I have an FLTRX so I didn't have the tour pack to start. If you have a parts person at the dealer that's worth anything, they should be able to tell you everything you need, not to mention the catalog also tells you some of the parts you will need.

I have it on my '09 Road Glide from new. I take it on and off all of the time. Rock steady. I have never had the Vibration problem nor needed to replace the rubber bushings. This after three years and 45K miles.
