Am seriously considering swapping off my 2005 rkc for a 2012 electra-glide classic.
Been sideways more than once these last cpl of years and want the abs, and of course a few of the other goodies. thought about the street glide but the electra was the same price and now the tour pack is detachable with the docking gear. Never had the big boys with fairings. Will take any advice out there, in regard to the difference between the two. I ride all styles long/bar/city--- whatever comes my way
I went from a Road King to an Electra Glide and I LOVE it! You'll enjoy having the tour pack as it's really easy to chunk stuff in and just roll. The biggest difference I noticed was that the EG is more top heavy, but you'll get used to that. And you will really notice the different frame....it's a lot easier for parking lot maneuvers. And the ABS is a must have.....i've grabbed mine pretty hard a few times and it stopped quick. Go for it.......you'll be glad you did!
