I'm still having problems rapping my head around the different names for the different touring models. I know it's the same frame only with different plastic bolted to it. I've got an Electra Glide Classic so that one is a given. Here is what I think they are.
Road Glide = Shark nose
Electra Glide = Mine
Street Glide = Mine minus tour pak
Road King = Street Glide minus Batwing

How far off am I?
Stick with a small part of your statement, highlighted. Beyond that, just a bunch of cosmetics for the most part. It's no different than automobiles, you have a car type, like a Cavalier, Escort, etc., then you have a standard model, an LS, XL, XLT, etc. The only difference is the trim packages. I've seen Street Glides that have been decked out to look like an ElectraGlide, I've seen ElectraGlides stripped down to look like a Street Glide and all kinds of combinations in between. Easiest thing to do is just learn the difference between FL, FX and XL.
