Default FLXH suspension

Man, I have read about all of the complaints regarding the Street Glide rear suspesion and I guess I'm just going to have to take an Ultra for a ride to see what everyone is referring to. I've ridden Harley's for 35 years and my 2010 Street Glide is hands down the smoothest I've ever ridden. I'm running between 10 and 15 lbs of air in the shocks. This morning as I was cruising down a really rough and choppy two lane, I took notice of just how smooth my Glide was going over these bumps and holes compared to the poor fella that was in front of me bouncing around the road like he was on fire! I had Progressive 440's on my last bike and it did not handle like this stock set up? I'm pleased as puch with mine.

I had an 08 Ultra. Now 2011 Streetglide. I understand that the shocks are diffrent on the new bikes, they hold more air.

I think this Streetglide rides as good or better than the 08 Ultra.

That's "FLHX". It's sacrilege to get this wrong!

Well I'm happy with my StreetGlide's ride - no complaints what so ever. Ride safe guys

Yep, I noticed that but could not edit that portion of the thread. Fingers sometimes move faster than my brain! Your right, sacrilege, No Excuse!

No worries. Being new to HD World, after my first visit to the dealer, I had to make a conversion table just to understand what bike they were talking about ("Oh, that's a FLHR" and "so you like the FLHX?").

Anyway, we all know that "X" (as in FLHX) marks the spot!

Not to wear out the phrase "pleased as punch," I took the 13" shocks off my 2011 RKC and put on 12" Progressive 440's and yes, NOW I'm pleased as punch! Much, much better ride IMHO.
