Default Remove Tour Pack to install slip ons?

I have a 2011 FLTRU and dont want to get in over my head...Do I have to remove the tour pack in order to remove the side compartments? I am installing slip ons.......

You can install slip ons without removing anything!

Well, it is a lot easier to at least remove the saddlebags to get at the rear bolts.

Removing your saddlebags will make it slightly easier, especially if your working off the shop floor, two zeus snaps and the bags are off...

No need to remove the tour pack or side panels.

It does help to have a motorcycle jack handy, as this allows you to have your bike upright.
Remove saddle bags, and you can access everything needed to remove old mufflers and install your new slip ons.

FYI dgt4031, the two D-ring fasteners inside each saddlebag are the "quick release" eluded to. Turn 1/4 turn CCW to remove them. Make sure you have a handle on the bags (especially the left) when you remove them. Otherwise you might have a little paint touch-up too.
I recommend you remove them to get to your muffler bolts.
