I don't leave my bike out in the rain and when I wash it I cover the seat and the air filter. Does that count as a remedy?

Keep a plastic garbage bag in the saddle bag. Cover it if you think its going to rain. I think leathers got to breath or it'll rot over time.

That may be true, but his stock seat isn't leather.

When mine gets wet I take it off and prop it up against the wall until the next ride. The water will drain down and out a seam. If you leave it on the bike it will stay wet for a couple days like you said.

It's not an answer but it will help until you seal the seams.

No, but don't ya think it's a little over kill? Heck the puddles up on the button tucks on my Mustang touring seat. But then again it's made better than stock.

Honestly unless you power blasting you bike when you wash it you don't need to wrap that air cleaner. JMHO

Thanks for the replies guys!
Sno-seal to be applied on my lunch hour, the sun is getting it preheated as I type.

As for the not leaving it in the rain suggestion, good one but, I just don't have that kind of co-operation with Mother nature, or maybe I just ride more. Leaving for Sturgis later today and I'm counting on some rain landing on my bike
