You want it to look as original as possible...build your own.
I find it interesting, as many times as this thread topic pops up there doesn't seem to get much interest in building one yourself. Maybe it's just me who likes to do this stuff. But you have got to admit it "looks as original" as you can get. Okay, I need to add some guages, even dummy guages, but nope...don't want to. It's basically an amp and speaker box for my iPod. Sorry for the ramble, its lunch time at work. ha
Dragonfly and Dead Center are both high quality detachable fairings. I've got a Dragonfly, and what sold me was the way the attachment brackets run through the inner fairing, attaching at several points on the top and bottom. It's really solid, no vibration at idle.
I just did all the research and after talking to them all I decided to go with a Woody's. I actually talked to Glenn who builds them not a secretary who couldn't answer my questions. I was thinking about building my own from Harley parts but the money I was going to spend and working 60-70 hours a week was not helping. I have never seen a bad review about a Woody's fairing either. One of the cheapest prices but well built from what I've heard and possibly the best customer service I've seen so far. Should have it in a couple weeks.

I have a Reckless and have yet to see one that is stouter and that even includes OEM. Mine never rattles. All OEM windshields and windshield trim fits on it.
